The Inspiration 2 Cot is fully electric, so you can adjust the height and tilt the platform at both the head and foot ends with ease—just press a button. It goes from a low 58cm off the floor, perfect for keeping little ones safe if they’re restless, right up to 92cm, which is a comfortable height for caregivers to work at without straining. It’s got a sturdy build too, with a safe working load of 160kg when flat (or 88kg when tilted), so it’s ready for a variety of needs.
Safety’s a standout feature here. The telescopic side rails drop down smoothly and lock securely with a child-proof mechanism—there’s no chance of tiny hands accidentally lowering them. You can set the rails at six different heights, from 8cm to 71.5cm above the mattress, giving you flexibility while keeping the child secure. The head and foot ends are transparent and removable, so you’ve got 360-degree access when needed, plus clear visibility to check on the little one at a glance. Installations:
The Drive Inspiration Cot can possibly be installed in a domestic home, provided doorway dimensions are known and images leading into the desired room are made available to us showing any steps etc. (we will need this information to provide a quotation).
Side Rails:
The integral side rails for the Inspiration 2 Cot are telescopic, drop-down rails that have 6 adjustable height positions with a range of 8 – 71.5cm above the mattress platform for maximum occupant safety and patient accessibility.
The side rail design ensures that they cannot be accidentally lowered or operated by the infant.

Head and Foot Ends
The transparent head and foot ends are easily removable for 360° access to the patient when the side rails are lowered. The transparent ends also aid visibility into the cot for monitoring the infant, and have been tested to meet the durability requirements of the latest safety standards. A playful bunny and butterfly design, and a modern pastel colour palette creates a relaxing environment for children.
The design of the head and foot ends allows access for IV lines and other tubes at either side of the transparent panels.
Castors and Brakes
The cot is easy to manoeuvre with its 12cm anti-static castors and colour coded linked brake bar pedals at the foot end with 3 positions: brake, free and steer.
Drop down shelf
A useful drop-down shelf is located at the foot end, which can be folded away when not required, and offers a safe working load of 30kg.
The design of the shelf allows for dynamic pumps to be suspended if the shelf is being used or folded away. It is specially designed to be out of reach of children for added safety. Slots in the shelf offer convenient locations for the handset when it is not being used or stored in its box.
Cot Safety
The Inspiration 2 Cot handset controls the cot height and head / foot down tilt functions. It will also automatically lock out after 30 seconds of inactivity, to prevent unintentional or unauthorised use.
An additional safety feature is the self-locking handset box, which is located underneath the shelf to enable the handset and cables to be stored securely, without the need for additional keys/fobs.
Emergency CPR Function (Available on 9005 model only)
The mattress platform can be levelled quickly in an emergency situation by pulling the red CPR handles on either side of the foot end of the cot.
Additional Cot Features
* Protective buffers on each corner of the cot.
* Two accessory sockets are available at the head end of the cot for IV poles or oxygen cylinder carriers.
* A choice of static or dynamic mattress systems are available for use with the Inspiration 2 Cot.
